Visual Creator

Julia Birn is a Chamorro British graphic designer and multimedia artist whose work examines how visual input evokes emotional response. She works across painting, fibers, and mixed-media composition, often combining simplified forms with intentional lines to explore memory, introspection, and the ways people interpret what they see.

Through her practice, Birn distills complex feelings into abstracted depictions, using limited color palettes to reveal what is often left unspoken. She is also the founder of Deafening Silence Co., a platform through which she expands these ideas into prints, objects, and other accessible formats.

Birn’s work reflects an ongoing interest in how imagery can hold emotion, prompt reflection, and communicate experiences that are difficult to articulate.
